1. Who we are
Leichama Creative Studio ("Leichama", "we", "us") is a creative and marketing studio based in Pretoria, Gauteng. For the personal information described here, we are the responsible party under POPIA. You can reach our Information Officer at hello@leichamastudio.co.za.
2. What we collect

We don't ask for special personal information (such as health, religion or biometric data). Please don't send it to us unless your project needs it.
3. Why we use it
- To reply to you and prepare a quote, because you asked us to.
- To do your project, as part of our agreement with you.
- To invoice you and keep financial records, as the law requires.
- To show finished work in our portfolio, unless you ask us not to (see our Terms).
- To send you news or offers, but only if you've given us your consent.
- To keep our website and systems secure.
We only use your information for these purposes, or for purposes closely related to them.
4. Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers ("operators") that help us run the business, and only what they need:

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.
5. Information sent outside South Africa
Some of the services above store information on servers outside South Africa (for example, in the United States or Europe). We choose established providers that have their own data-protection commitments, in line with section 72 of POPIA. By using our form or sending us files, you agree that your information may be processed outside South Africa for the purposes in this notice.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become projects: up to 12 months.
- Project files you send us and our working files: up to 12 months after the project ends, so we can help with changes or reorders. Ask us and we'll delete them sooner.
- Invoices and payment records: 5 years, as required by South African tax law.
After that, we delete or anonymise the information.
7. Keeping it safe
We protect your information with secured, password-protected accounts, two-step sign-in where available, encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this website, and by limiting access to the people working on your project. If we ever discover that your information has been accessed by someone who shouldn't have it, we'll tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
8. Marketing messages
We only send marketing messages (such as newsletters, offers or broadcast messages) if you've agreed to receive them. Not opting out doesn't count as agreement. Every message tells you how to stop receiving them, and you can say "stop" at any time.
9. Cookies and tracking
This website doesn't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics tools. It doesn't load anything from other websites while you browse. If we add any of these in future, we'll update this notice first.
10. People under 18
Our services are for adults and businesses. If you're under 18 (for example, a young artist), a parent or guardian must contact us and consent on your behalf.
11. Your rights
Under POPIA, you have the right to:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you, and get a copy of it;
- ask us to correct or delete information that's wrong, outdated or no longer needed;
- object to us using your information, including for marketing;
- withdraw your consent at any time (this doesn't affect what we did before you withdrew it); and
- complain to the Information Regulator.
To use any of these rights, email us. We'll reply within 30 days, and we won't charge you for a reasonable request.
